Whole School Concert – wow!

THANK YOU and congratulations to everyone involved in the Whole School Concert last Friday evening. This annual showcase celebrates the musical endeavours of students from all three campuses and this year the standard and variety of music was outstanding.

In addition, the alternative staging with professional sound and lighting transformed the space into a venue worthy of our hard-working and dedicated musicians. Thank you to all the students and staff who assisted in making this such a wonderful evening, including:

  • our Music tutors Elizabeth Harding, Rachel Collyer, Robyn Glindemann and Cameron Smith
  • Junior School staff for their support and supervision during rehearsals and the concert
  • our fabulous Music Department: Mrs Cooney, Mrs Lewis, Mr Forbes and Ms Downs
  • the Maintenance staff for their essential support
  • our student stage management team: Amelie Hugo, Aleesha Naumann and Matthew Clyne
  • our accomplished compères: Junior School Performing Arts captains Kane Emmerson and Eva Tilley, and the new Senior School Music Captains Samuel Gander and William Louis
  • the Junior School Parents' & Friends' Association, who provided refreshments before the concert
  • our parents, who encourage their children to participate in these musical endeavours
  • and, most importantly, thank you to our wonderful students who performed so spectacularly on the evening.

2023-24 Student Leadership Team

Congratulations to our new Music Captains, Will Louis and Sam Gander. We look forward to working with Will and Sam over the coming year.

It is lovely to see many other musicians on our new student leadership team for 2023-24 including Emily Monks (Rock Band and Choir, School Captain), Sidney Edwards (Choir and Orchestra, School Captain) and many of our new House Captains and Prefects!

Many thanks to the students of Chamber Ensemble and Rock Band, as well as Orlando Aguirre (Year 11, pictured), for providing musical items for this week’s Leadership Induction Ceremony.
