Sport

It’s been an exciting fortnight in PE!

Here are some of the highlights:

Level 3/4 & 5/6 Hoop Time

Congratulation to the 150 Level 3-6 students who showcased their talents in Hoop Time throughout the past week! It was truly inspiring to witness Rangeview students collaborating seamlessly as a team, proudly representing the school, displaying exceptional skills, and introducing newcomers to the world of basketball. Following the Level 3/4 day, our All-Star Girls and Future Stars mixed teams have successfully advanced to the Regional finals. Similarly, from the 5/6 Day, our Future Stars mixed team has also secured their place. We would also like to recognize the incredible efforts of our All-Star Boys 5/6 teams and the other Future Stars mixed 5/6 team, both of whom narrowly missed out on victory in the Grand Final.

GO RANGEVIEW!!!

Team Victoria

Congratulations are in order for both Levon and Lenny from Level 6, who both earned spots on Team Victoria for their respective sports, Netball and Basketball, in 2023. Lenny, had an outstanding performance in the National Finals held in Perth last week, where he contributed to the Victorian Team's remarkable victory, securing the coveted Gold Medal. It was a thrilling moment for the students as they cheered on their classmate while watching him on TV. The entire Rangeview community is very proud of these two young athletes and their fantastic achievements.

State Netball Championships

Congratulations are in order for both of our Mixed Netball teams that competed in the State Netball Championships held in Parkville last week. These teams displayed exceptional skills and unwavering determination as they faced off against schools from across the State. The way our students represented their school filled us with great pride, and we extend our gratitude to our incredible families for their unwavering support. It's worth noting that our Mixed A team narrowly missed victory in the semi-final, ultimately finishing an impressive 3rd place overall in the State, a remarkable achievement indeed.
