Walton House News - End of Term 3

Dear Parents, Carers, Family and Students,

Hello Walton!

Term 3

What a term we’ve had! Term 3 has absolutely flown by, it has been filled with exciting events and student success.

On Tuesday we held a Walton and Freeman assembly in the gym! This was an extremely successful assembly, we were able to celebrate student attendance, values nominations, mentor group achievements and student success through events! It was a full assembly that was very much enjoyed by all.

On Thursday the 7th of September in Week 9, our Year 10 students visited The Holocaust Museum in Elsternwick. They had the incredible, once in a lifetime opportunity to meet a Holocaust survivor! In addition to this, students were given the opportunity to have some interactive learning with historical artefacts.

Year 9, 10 and 11 students attended Melbourne University to engage in Philosophical seminars, philosophical questions, ethical debates and critical thinking. Students engaged with critical thinking skills that assist with ALL subject areas and had the chance at networking at the top university in Melbourne! These HP students did us SO proud!

Last Friday night we had the Senior Formal- A fantastic night had by all with great company, food, fashion and dancing. Thank you to Ms Grove, Ms Glenn and the Senior team for your work.

Over the past term Ms Louden and Mr Illangakoon have been working with the Melbourne Rebels coaches for a 5 week tournament against other rugby academy schools in VIC. Congratulations to all players for showing grit, determination, resilience, teamwork and skill.

Year 12 Exams run this week and week 1 of term 4. Good luck to all students who are sitting these exams!
