Children’s Book Week 19th-25th August

As we continue to celebrate Book Week for a second week, more new books have arrived and are now on display and ready for students to borrow. Many of the new books on display last week have already been borrowed by students from Years 7-10.

Many activities are also taking place in the Resource Centre at recess and lunch including chess, reading, drawing and school work. Year 12 students are taking the opportunity to study, participate in tutorials and meet with their teachers to review topics in preparation for the HSC exams.

Indigenous Literacy Day which celebrates the diversity of First Nations Peoples’ stories, cultures and languages is being held on the 6th September this year. The Resource Centre will be celebrating this day with a display of literature and books by indigenous authors to borrow by the College community.
