A Prayer for Students
Lord our God, in your wisdom and love you surround us with the
mysteries of the universe. Send your Spirit upon these students and
fill them with your wisdom and blessings. Grant that they may devote
themselves to their studies and draw ever closer to you, the source
of all knowledge.
Dear Kildare Community,
The last few weeks have included many events that have strengthened our school community. Yesterday, we joined together to celebrate Benedicta and Gandhi Community Day. This was a fantastic event raising awareness for Jersey Day and organ donation. Thank you to our SRC leaders and Mrs McCartan and Ms Goggin for their organisation. The activities in the afternoon included a House soccer competition cheered on by all students. Our community spirit soared during the staff versus student volleyball match at the end of the day.
BOARDER GRADUATION MASS
YEAR 12 GAMES NIGHT
Last week, we held two Year 12 events including Year 12 Games Night and the Boarders Graduation Mass and Dinner. Both of these events were a great success. There are only three weeks of formal schooling left for Year 12 and we are encouraging them to make the most of every opportunity in these final days.
Year 11 commence Preliminary Exams on Monday next week. We wish these students all the best with their exams and encourage students to look after themselves during this period. Being “exam fit” includes not only preparation through study, but also healthy habits including getting enough sleep, exercise and a balanced diet. Students also need to watch out for exam stress and seek support if needed through their Academic Care and Wellbeing Coordinator.
We are now in a position to announce our newly elected Student Representative Council for 2024. Congratulations to the following students.
Our incoming student leaders have big shoes to fill after the tremendous work done by our Year 12 student leaders.
Our 2023 SRC have served our school community with dedication, wisdom and care, whilst also reaching out to serve the needs of the wider community at every opportunity.
