President News
We’ve had a busy Term 3 The Pie and Lamington Drive was a hit once again. Thanks to all those who supported it and a big thanks to those who helped on the day to sort and pack all the goodies. Thanks to Maree Rogers who organised it all. Many hands make light work and I hear this year it was sorted a lot quicker. Final profits will be in the next newsletter.
Trivia night was on the 12th August. Similar numbers as last year supported by different people though. I think all those who came along had some fun. Jeremy Creagan showed everyone how to make and fly a paper aeroplane. Balloon Bingo seemed to be a hit.
Catherine Duff and her table are on a hat-trick taking out the wooden spoon for the second year running!! We had a table of O’Connor staff that came along and supported us. It was great to have their support and company. A huge thanks must go to Christine Fittler and Michael Ainsworth who really did organise it all this year. They put a lot of effort in and we got the results. Great community building event and we also raised about $1400. Again I’ll pop the final numbers in the next newsletter.
Fete!
If you haven’t heard we are having a fete on the 4th November 10am -2pm. Can you help? Can you run a stall? Can you help run some kiddie games? Can you cook? Mexican, Malaysian, Chinese? What is your specialty? Can you help set up? Can you help man a stall for an hour or so? Can you bake a cake? Can you grow a few seedlings? Lots of things needed and greatly appreciated If you can help the please reach out and make contact with Sarah Clarke on 0417 518 099.
There are 2 meetings coming up and I can't stress enough to people how welcome you are all to come along. P&F meeting Wednesday the 30th August 5.30pm in the Staff Room. Then a fete meeting on Tuesday the 5th September 5.30pm in the staff room. I’d love to see lots of you there.
