Week 6 Newsletter

Welcome to Week 6 Term 3

NO SCHOOL ON MONDAY 28TH AUGUST                            PUPIL FREE DAY 

Staff RE PD Day is Monday 28th August.  This is a Pupil Free Day the school will be closed for the day. All staff will be off-site on Monday.

 Book Week Parade & Grandparents Day

Thank you to the children and teachers for such an amazing day today. A big shout out to Ms McNeall for preparing the entertainment and Mrs Cain for organising the Book Week activities.  

 

A very big thank you to all of the Grandparents who were able to join us at school today we enjoyed having you at school today.

Diocesan Athletics Carnival

Congratulations to all our students who participated in the Armidale Diocesan Athletics Carnival last Friday. A big thank you to the teachers & parents for supporting the children all day under very windy conditions. Many students did their personal best and all children did their best throughout the day. The following students have now qualified to attend the Polding Carnival at Homebush in Week 1 of Term 4 : 

Sophie Schumude - 100 metres

Molly Schmude - 100 metres. 

Stephen Chin - Shotput

Annabelle Arkit - High Jump

CHESS COMPETITION 

Congratulations to the children who played Chess in the  Armidale Schools Chess Competition last week.Congratulations to Kavin Mongar, Stephen Chin, Isaac Riches and Kian Calubaquib, who finished in third place, just narrowly missing out on winning the day. Thank you Mr Lester for organising the students. 

Parent Teacher Interviews Term 3

Parents, your classroom teachers invite you to come and discuss your child's progress. A Compass notification has been sent via Compass with the times available for these appointments. Please note entry & exit is through the Rusden Street entrance. 

2023 School Improvement Survey - August

The annual satisfaction My School Survey of parents, students and staff will be conducted on behalf of all Catholic schools in the Diocese. The surveys are designed to gather feedback from parents, staff and students about our school and will be used to inform school improvement. The surveys have been sent via email to your addresses supplied to the school. They are now open for your to complete

Attendance

Thank you to families who explain their children's absences from school. Please remember to reply to the SMS sent or contact the school by phone. The Office also sends a reminder email which you can reply to with an explanation. You can explain planned absences in advance by writing an email or phoning the school. Absences of more than 10 days require a form to be filled out to apply for "Extended Leave" which requires approval from the Principal.
