Principal's Report
A message from Amanda Williams
This week, we were honoured to welcome the Minister for Education, The Hon. Mr Ben Carroll, to Truganina College. The Minister visited to see first hand the wonderful things happening across our College and to help us celebrate our outstanding results.
Our College Captains, Sherin and Noku, proudly welcomed the Minister and joined me in taking him on a tour to see our Foundation students hard at work. He was able to experience the high-quality teaching taking place in our phonics program, which plays a significant role in achieving the excellent reading results we are so proud of.
The Minister also met with students and staff from our Say No! To Racism working party, who shared their experiences and aspirations for fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment. Our students outlined for the Minister how we are developing programs that build understanding, celebrate diversity, and promote awareness.
We are also pleased to share that our new Responding to and Preventing Racism Policy is now available under the Policies page on our College website.
