Year 4/5/6

The 4/5/6 class has been busy getting ready for our assembly next week. We’ve been practising our speaking parts and working on transitions and learning to present with confidence.
In Music, we’ve been listening to different songs to talk about the mood and meaning. We've listened closely to a range of songs and discussed how the instruments, tempo and lyrics work together to create mood. This has helped us understand how composers use music to connect with their audiences and tell stories.
In Maths, we’ve been learning about position and direction using Spheros — small robots that we can program to move across a grid. This has helped us describe movement, use coordinates and practise problem-solving in a fun, hands-on way.
CA2-MUS-01 (Stage 2): Explains how music they listen to, perform and compose communicates ideas, feelings and moods.
CA3-MUS-01 (Stage 3): Describes and discusses similarities and differences between music they listen to, perform and compose.
MA2-17MG (Stage 2): Uses simple maps and grids to represent position and follow routes, including using coordinates and directional language.
MA3-17MG (Stage 3): Uses and describes position involving compass directions and coordinates, and interprets and creates maps.
