SWPBS

Our SWPBS fortnightly focus has been Care - Leaving a personal space bubble for others.
Personal space is important for students because it helps them feel safe, respected, and ready to learn. Here are a few key reasons:
Sense of Safety: When students have their own space, they feel more secure and less anxious. This is especially important in busy classrooms where things can get crowded.
Respect for Others: Understanding personal space teaches students how to respect the boundaries of classmates and adults, helping build positive relationships.
Focus and Comfort: When students aren't worried about others being too close, they can concentrate better on learning tasks and feel more comfortable in class.
Emotional Regulation: Having space can help students stay calm, especially those who get overwhelmed easily or need quiet time to reset.
Social Skills: Learning about personal space helps students understand social cues and navigate group settings in a kind and respectful way.
