Principals Message

Good afternoon everyone.

A reminder that school recommences for students on Tuesday 22nd July.  Monday 21st is a SCHOOL CLOSURE.

I have a couple of announcements regarding movement of staff in term 3 and 4.

We say farewell to Trish Saultry, who is retiring after 14 years with St Laurence's.  I would like to thank Trish Saultry for her dedication and service to St Laurence's over this time.  It has been a pleasure to have worked with you and to have you as part of our school community.   Maybe we will see Trish popping in from time to time as a casual relief teacher.  You will be missed Trish, but we're excited for you in this next phase of your life.  We wish you well.

We will welcome Nikki Hoeskstra, who will be in 5/6B with Karen Ginnane for the remainder of the year.

In the Foundation area, Anne will be taking leave in term 3 for 6 weeks.  During this time Sharron Stephens will be stepping in for Anne.   Anne is heading off to some remote indigenous communities to roll out digital technology programs in schools.  This was a committment Anne had prior to working at St Laurence's.  We hope that Anne has a fantastic experience and look forward to hearing about it when she returns.

A reminder that the dental van is making a visit to St Laurences in August.  This is a complimentary service with no out-of-pocket expenses.  A medicare care is all you need to be eligible.

We are still calling for potential helpers to assist with the colour run day being held in September.  The day will be a Friday, but have not locked in a date until we see how many helpers can assist.

Have an fantastic weekend and a safe and relaxing holiday.

See you all on Tuesday 22nd July, refreshed and ready for term 3.
