Inclusive Community in Action - A Spirituality Day with St Edmund's College, Wahroonga
On a recent spirituality day run by St Edmund's College, several of our Year 10 students engaged in a meaningful pastoral care experience alongside peers from St Edmund’s College.
Set against the serene bushland backdrop of the Treacy Educational Complex, the day was designed to embody the Edmund Rice Touchstone of Inclusive Community. This initiative aimed to foster empathy, solidarity, and mutual respect among students of diverse abilities.
The program featured a series of collaborative activities, including joint liturgies, reflective journaling, and group discussions. The day explored the Old Testament stories of Genesis and Moses and encouraged a deeper reflection on the Gospel Values and the importance of Stewardship of the Environment.
As the day concluded, participants reflected on the lessons learned and expressed a renewed commitment to fostering an inclusive environment within their school and broader community. This spirituality day served as a powerful reminder of the strength found in empathy and the importance of standing in solidarity with those who may be different from ourselves. By embracing these values, the students not only honoured the Edmund Rice tradition but also took meaningful steps toward building a more compassionate and inclusive world.
It is with much gratitude that we thank the teachers and students of St Edmund's College for including us in this special day. We also express our appreciation and gratitude to the Year 10 students who attended. They showed great maturity, compassion and a sense of fellowship and solidarity with their peers and were a credit to themselves and their families.

GPs in Schools
On Wednesday, Year 10 students were fortunate to have privileged access to the Sydney North Health Network 'GPs in Schools' program when no less than 10 GPs and health professionals shared their wealth of knowledge and answered the small group (10 - 12 students) questions on contemporary health issues and access to health care and advice throughout their lives. This again is an invaluable program which is highly valued by our students and the college community.
