My Lord and My God
A big high-five to the year 2 & 3 staff and students for the wonderful celebration on Wednesday this week. The scriptural theme was 'Planting seeds in rich soil'.
Father Jithin did a wonderful job of involving the students in the learning that the Gospel provided. Father personified the seeds that fell in the different types of soil. 'Sammy' was the seed that landed on the road - he didn't last long because he was easily picked off by the birds. 'Rocky' landed on rocks and pebbles and whilst he was able to get started in his growth, couldn't last long because the sun dried him up too quickly. Lastly, 'Grace' landed on rich soil that had moisture and nutrients to give her the best chance of being fruitful.
Father Jithin went on to ask the children how they could make their hearts like rich soil. If our hearts are nutrient rich, we can grow spiritually healthy. How do we enrich our hearts? The students themselves responded with prayer and doing good works!
