Principal's News

Dear Families and Friends of Trinity Primary School,
As we begin to approach the end of our second term for the year I am reminded of how quickly the school year can seem to pass. I am sure this is due to the business of each day and week and all that goes on throughout the term. It can be difficult at times to remain focussed on the present as we are so often required to look ahead and plan and prepare for what is to come next.
50 Year Commemoration of Vietnamese Migration.
This year marks the 50th Year of Vietnamese migration and on Friday at our whole school assembly we will be sharing some important information and stories to mark this significant milestone. We would love as many of our families who are able to come and share in this wonderful presentation.
The story of Vietnamese refugees in Australia is one of resilience, determination, and hope. Despite facing incredible challenges, they built new lives, contributed totheir new country, and preserved their cultural heritage.
Buildng Project
As I hope you are all aware, later this year we plan to begin our building project and I will begin to share some of the works we are planning to complete as part of the project. Of course a project such as this will take time and no doubt cause some inconvenience as we are forced to move classes and utilize shared spaces so that our children and staff remain safe and the builders can have free access to complete their works. Fortunately our Junior and Senior areas will be mostly unaffected during the works, however, we may have to utilize the library and the MPR at times to hold classes for our Year 3/4s and to accomodate staff while demolition and construction takes place. I am, however, confident that what we will achieve will be worth the wait and inconvenience.
Prep 100 Days
Next Friday 27th June our Preps will be celebrating their 100 Days of prep. This has become a very special celebration with children dressing up on the day as 100 Year Olds. Our Prep team will share further information next week as we look forward to another great day for our prep students.
From the Library
A big THANK YOU to everyone supporting our Second Hand Book Sale.
It was great to see you all in the library and we hope you were able to find some good Winter Reads.
Looking forward to doing it all again next year!
Kind regards
