Meet Our Year 6 Wellbeing Leaders 🌟

Our Year 6 Wellbeing Leaders play a key role in helping our school community feel safe, included, and supported.

They lead initiatives, support younger students, and model kindness, respect, and responsibility every day.

We asked some leaders a few questions about their role—here’s what they had to say!

My favourite part of being a wellbeing leader is that I am a good role model towards the school and I can show the juniors how to be more respectful and responsible everyday, so our world can become a better place.

I help others by making sure everyone is okay when it looks like they're upset and comfort them if they need it, and I also look to see how the younger people act to help improve their actions, so when they are older they can do the same.

I think wellbeing is important in our school because everyone deserves to be treated correctly and fairly, so our community is a fun and safe place and everyone feels welcomed. It is also important because no one is the same and people have different personalities, so you shouldn’t judge anyone by their appearance and culture.

To me, being a wellbeing leader means helping make our wonderful school community a kind, safe and joyful place. It involves including others, listening and being a good role model, so no one in our school feels left out and always feels included.

My favourite part of being a Wellbeing Leader is getting to help others and being a good role model towards the younger cohorts. Another of my favourite things about being a wellbeing leader is that I get to meet new people that I’m working with and get to know them better.

I help other students at school by listening and talking to them about their feelings, needs and their thoughts on how they can make their primary school journey better.

I think Wellbeing at school is important because it helps people understand that respecting and being kind to others helps build a safe, caring and friendly environment. It shows that you belong, no matter your culture or appearance, and makes others feel safe and welcome.

I can help others at school by helping when I see others getting hurt and making sure that everyone is alright. I can see how the younger children act and help them be better and not do the wrong thing. I can make sure that our school is a safe place and no one will be going to the wrong places.

I think wellbeing is important at our school because it can help improve how our school is. It can become a better place, a safer environment and can improve how everyone reacts to things. It can make sure everyone is feeling safe and welcomed. Making sure no one is feeling left out or sad.
