Year 9 Camp Update

Our interstate adventure continued this week, with Year 9s embarking on an overnight expedition guided by Christian Youth Works in the Royal National Park. This experience included a hike and kayaking expedition, setting up their own tents, and cooking dinner together under the stars. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to develop resilience, teamwork, and independence in the great outdoors.

The journey then continued with a shopping day at Westfield before heading to Canberra, where the itinerary has been full and enriching. Students have enjoyed visiting Parliament House, the National Electoral Education Centre, the Australian War Memorial, Questacon, the Australian National University, and the Australian Institute of Sport. A highlight was also catching up with the Year 6 students, who are also in Canberra, for dessert and a great evening of shared stories and laughter.

It has been has been a great camp—students have been engaged, respectful, and soaking up every opportunity to grow in independence, teamwork, and perspective.
