Growth occurs through many ways and experiences. One of the ways it can occur is when we step outside our comfort zone—and this term is full of opportunities for our students to do just that. Our Year 6 students are currently in Canberra, spending four days immersed in the nation’s capital. Away from their usual surroundings, family, and school routines, they are engaging in rich learning experiences that challenge their independence, resilience, and curiosity.
In just a couple of weeks' time, our Year 4 students will also embark on their own adventure—three days on camp with the main activity being at Port Arthur. For some, this will be their first time away from home without parents, and it promises to be a time of discovery, friendship, and personal growth. These camps are more than just fun—they are formative experiences that help students stretch in confidence and capability.
Later this term, all students will have the chance to participate in a variety of excursions, in-school learning activities, and community events. From meeting their 2026 classmates to celebrating Christmas and taking part in end-of-year festivities, there are many moments ahead that will stretch minds, build connections, and create lasting memories.
Let’s continue to pray for our students and our wider school community—that each child would feel supported, safe, and inspired as they embrace these new and stretching experiences.
