Specialist Feature News - Visual Arts
Selamat Siang semuanya,
It's been a fun, messy, and creative first half of Term 4 so far in the art room! The students have been busy creating collaborative artworks for Pleasant Day out. Every class will have a framed artwork that each student has contributed to, which will be silent auctioned on the day! Keep an eye on the newsletter and school Instagram to see when the auctions go live!
Foundation students have revisited self-portraits, creating colourful painted backgrounds and focusing on all the features that make us unique! We are looking forward to creating some vibrant, funky hair artworks using our knowledge of line and pattern!
The 1/2 students started the term by investigating colour and pattern through drip artworks inspired by artist Jen Stark. They have continued to explore detail through small drawings and have worked hard to create some interesting leaf designs for their Pleasant Day Out Frame.
In 3/4, students have been exploring the pattern work of Kelly Gillern. They have used this inspiration to create ice creams for their collaborative art piece, as well as their very own patterned posters.
The 5/6 Students have been busy working through their textile unit for Term 4, with Year 5 students creating their own plush toys, whilst the Year 6s create their graduation bears. We also explored the work of Henri Matisse through painting and foil embossing to create a whole-class artwork for the art auction.
Terima kasih
