Highlight 

Selamat Siang, 

What an awesome time we had at the 1/2 Late Stay and Sleepover, the rain didn't stop us and all the fun we had! It was endless amounts of fun with pasta frame craft, bubbles and chalk, and indoor games. Obviously the highlights for a lot of students was dinner, a juice box and delicious pizza as well as an icy pole for dessert. The Grade 2's enjoyed watching Toy Story all together and having scrumptious croissants and fruit for breakfast. Check out the photos below to see the students' BIG smiles during the event! 

In reading, we have been learning about Remembrance Day, why we commemorate it and the difference between this and ANZAC day! We have read lots of texts surrounding this event and the students have been practicing to read more fluently and at a successful rate with rhythm. 

This week in Writing, we have been learning about using character dialogue in our narratives and punctuating these sentences with accuracy. Ask your child about the song we learnt to help us use the correct punctuation. 

In Maths, we have been reviewing time and learning about half past, quarter past and quarter to and to the nearest minute. We have been connecting this learning to turns, fractions and skip counting to further support our understanding.
