Selamat siang,

This week in Maths, we have been applying our knowledge of decimals and rounding to real life scenarios including in sporting competitions, weather, money and measurements. We ordered, placed on a number line and rounded our decimals!

In English, we have been exploring sizzling starts as we begin to plan our own narratives. We analysed some of our 5/6 students proudest texts and identified what text features they used to keep us engaged. We also went outside to use our senses to describe our environment.

We have also started our Universal Design projects around creating a space or product that follows the 7 Principles of Design (equitable use, flexibility in use, simple and intuitive, perceptible information, tolerance for error, low physical effort and size, space and approach). Students have shown incredible creativity and empathy as they begin to draw, annotate and build! If you have any shoeboxes lying around at home, we would appreciate if you could bring them in.

Huge congratulations to Malia, Pil, Jane, Tarah and Anouk who represented our classes at the MPRPS Public Speaking Competition! You all did so well and should be so proud of yourselves. Congratulations to Anouk who will represent our cohort at the Interschool Speaking Competition.
