LIA Visual Art (Headstart)
LIA Visual Arts students kicked off Headstart with incredible energy and creativity! They’ve been diving into collaborative art making while revisiting the fundamentals of colour theory and refining their painting techniques. One highlight has been their 'pass the painting' activity, a dynamic exercise where students work together to transform each other’s canvases, sparking imagination and teamwork. It’s been inspiring to see their ideas flow and evolve as they experiment with colour, texture and composition. This is just the beginning of an exciting journey in LIA Visual Arts!
Here are some more photos (below) of our talented Visual Arts students in class during Headstart.
Musical Production reveal (Headstart)

Sport Update
Nationals 2025 (1-5 December)
What an eventful and wonderful week at the National Schools Basketball Championships tournament for our Lowanna College student athletes. So many ups and downs - learning, competing and growing as individuals and as teams. On Wednesday there were two buzzer beating game winners for teams to qualify for the finals with a great seed. It’s been so exciting to see the growth, sportsmanship and competitive spirit from these young people all week. All are poised to make a run at the National championships for years to come.
Our support staff and coaches have been amazing - feeding, coaching and looking after our students. We have become a school with an identity for our basketball that revolves around three-point shooting and defense that is recognised by other schools and supported by statistics.
