Room 6 Learning Highlights

This term in Room 6, we’ve been busy exploring the wonderful world of shapes! Students have been identifying and naming shapes they see in their everyday environment and sorting them based on their properties. A highlight was using 2D shapes to design and create their own robots and pictures, followed by counting how many of each shape they included in their creations.

We also moved into the world of 3D shapes. Students investigated different 3D forms, learned about their properties—such as faces, edges, and vertices—and even constructed their own 3D shapes using nets. It has been a hands-on and exciting way to deepen their understanding of shapes.
