REMEMBRANCE DAY IN THE LIBRARY

The College Resource Library marked Remembrance Day with a special display of borrowable books and story time resources to help students reflect and learn. During library sessions, students viewed short clips on the Library TV that explored the history and significance of the day. Each year on 11 November, Australians pause to honour those who served, suffered, and sacrificed for our country in wars and conflicts. This date marks the anniversary of the Armistice of 1918, which ended fighting in World War I.

COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS

With Christmas just around the corner, the library is preparing some exciting displays and activities to celebrate the season. This time of year is all about coming together and fostering a sense of community, and we’re eager to spread some Christmas cheer to our students, staff, and wider community. Stay tuned for more details—we can't wait to share what's in store!

Christmas Countdown: 6 more weeks to go!

RESOURCE COLLECTION

As we head into the busy final weeks of Term 4, the College Resource Library has begun its end-of-term resource collection. With college excursions and transition programs taking place over the coming weeks, library staff are now collecting borrowed items from both staff and students.

While this is a detailed and time-consuming process, it’s an essential part of preparing for our annual library stocktake and ensuring our collection is ready for the year ahead. We appreciate the support and understanding of families, students, and staff during this important time.

EBOOK PLATFORM

As students begin transition, wrap up their school year, and explore new learning opportunities, it’s the perfect time to get reacquainted with the College Library eBook Platform. This easy-to-use resource allows students and staff to access a wide range of digital books for free using their school login credentials.

With an ever-growing collection that includes young adult fiction, popular titles, new releases, children’s books, and biographies, there’s something for every reader. The platform also offers great accessibility features such as read-aloud options, adjustable fonts and text size, and page colour and brightness settings to personalise the reading experience.
