Message from the Acting Assistant Principal

Doreen Smider

Dear Kyabram P-12 College Students, Families and Caregivers,

As we move towards the end of the calendar year and prepare for 2026, I would like to thank our families and caregivers for their continued support and commitment shown to our students throughout the academic year. As a community, we support each other, appreciate and respect the needs of all students as they continue to demonstrate responsibility for their learning.

Our Year 12 students have recently completed classes, many have finalized their exams, planned a gap year or are transitioning to TAFE or the workforce. As the exam period comes to an end, we wish them all the best as they transition to the next stage of their journey. Even though their school days may be over, they are always welcome back to our college and are encouraged to continue their engagement within our community.

College Captains

Our 2026 College captains have been presented to our college community. Kade, Nate, Addison and Eli will represent the P – 6 community whilst Dakota, Fatima, Xander, Lachie and Ava will represent the 7 -12 community. We wish our leaders all the best as they represent our college in 2026.

Over the past few weeks our students have been provided with many activities to get involved, make friends and step outside of their comfort zone. The P – 2 Community has participated in Kaboom Sports and the inaugural P – 2 Boogie! Both events were a great success where students demonstrated our school values whilst having an amazing time with their friends and teachers.

The 3 - 4 community enjoyed a successful day at Tongala PS where they represented our college during the Summer Sports event. Students participated in hockey, t-ball, bocce and rapid fire and were supported by our Year 5 -6 leaders.

Year 8 students recently experienced a jam-packed three-day camp at Charnwood where they participated in hiking, bike riding, abseiling, volleyball, basketball and fire lighting. What an amazing opportunity for our students to build their self-confidence and demonstrate resilience. Thank you to our staff who make these opportunities possible.
