We have come to the end of another busy year at Monivae. We are very proud of many positive outcomes for students and many challenges that have been overcome throughout the year. Our students consistently make us proud with their ability to look after their friends and with their awareness of the importance of healthy mental health and wellbeing in their lives.
Lachlan Beaton - Clinical Psychologist (Registrar) at Monivae in 2026
If you are interested in psychological support for your young person or educational psychology testing, please be in contact through our email: wellbeinghub@monivae.vic.edu.au as places are filling up quickly for Semester 1 in 2026. Please refer to the email sent to all families on 17th November for further information about this exciting new service for our students.
Social Media Ban Resources
Please find some resources that families might find helpful with the Social Media ban that is coming in from 10th December. Students have had some insight into the new changes from Lee-Anne Nelson, Victoria Police Community Liaison Officer and had an opportunity to ask lots of questions. Please see some resources below that might be beneficial for families:

Standing Tall Celebration Event
This week, our Standing Tall Mentoring students joined with their mentors for a Christmas Celebration. Mr Pohl and Mr Rowe also dropped in for a session to try and find the hidden butterflies.

We have had a fantastic year in the Standing Tall program with mentors and mentees undertaking a range of activities such as board games, cooking and craft creations. Thanks especially to Nat Templeton, our Monivae Standing Tall Mentoring coordinator and to Dee, Jaymie and Erica from Standing Tall- who help with our sessions each week.

We have had strong interest with new students wanting to sign up and join the program in 2026, which is fantastic. The outcomes and positive benefits for our students and our community mentors is what makes the program so special.
Support over the holiday break
If you should require wellbeing support for your young person over the holidays, please see a number of helpful resources below and ways parents/carers can support young people.

Thanks to the Wellbeing Hub team: Katee Mitchell, Belinda Carroll and Natalie Templeton for another fantastic year. Our team will be unavailable via phone or email over the holidays as they take a very well-deserved break.
Have a safe and happy holidays, see you all in 2026!
