Selamat siang,
Our students have been diving deeper into the principles of Universal Design in Guided Inquiry this week, exploring how spaces can be made accessible and inclusive for everyone. We were fortunate to have Tegan Ma speak to us, further enriching students’ understanding and inspiring their thinking.
Building on this inspiration, students examined floor plans of a cubby house, exploring, recording, and discussing ways to improve the design to make it more universally accessible. It was wonderful to see the critical thinking and creativity displayed by all students as they considered how to make spaces work for everyone.
This inquiry not only strengthened students’ design and problem-solving skills but also encouraged them to think thoughtfully about inclusion in everyday spaces.
Shoutout:
A big congratulations to all our Year 4 students who completed their Let’sTALK Buddy course and began supporting other students in the playground this week! They have already shown leadership, empathy, and patience, making a positive difference in our school community.
