Year 10 Encounter

Year 10 Cape to Cape

This week the Year 10 students set off for their Encounter in the Margaret River region. Often a highlight when students reflect upon their time at the School, this experience saw the students enjoy part of the stunning Cape to Cape track, test themselves rock climbing and abseiling whilst enjoying each other company away from the formalities of school. My thanks to Ms Fowler for her organisation of the Encounter and the staff who supported our students for their time away.

Secondary Colours Assembly

This week we recognised the many students in our community who have made a significant contribution to our school over the term at our Secondary Colours Assembly on Wednesday.

The School celebrated student participation at the ACC Inter-School Athletics and ACC Inclusive Athletics Carnivals. Congratulations go to Sophie Colley for achieving U/15 Champion Girl and Louis Trueman for achieving U/15 Runner-Up Champion Boy. A special congratulations go to Mia Colley who was awarded an ACC Cross Country All Star Certificate.

We were able to recognise students receiving Chapel Colours, Debating Colours, Arts Colours, as well as celebrating our Year 12 House Colours and House Honour Colours certificates.

This assembly was a very special occasion as the 2025 Prefects were announced. Well done to all who applied for prefect positions, it is always wonderful to see so many students nominate for a leadership position within our school. Congratulations to 2025 Prefect Body.

Year 11/12 Outdoor Rec Mountain Biking Excursion

On Friday 13 September, students from Year 10 Outdoor Recreation and Year 11 Certificate II Outdoor Recreation went Point Walter Mountain Bike Track to test their mountain bike skills and bravery. It was awesome to see students flying off jumps and around corners. While we have some very confident riders, I was most proud of the courage shown by some our less confident riders. Like every year some students pushed their limits and lost some skin…but gained some stories. I was also impressed by the leadership shown by the Year 11 students, always offering to help and assist the Year 10 students. Well done to everyone.
