Year 6 PYP Exhibition
What an incredible term it has been. At this morning’s assembly, I spoke with the students about being ‘good tired’ where you are worn out but because you have lived our motto – Work Hard, Be Kind, Have Fun!
This last week of term has enabled us to share a lot of learning, from Inquiry Journeys to the Art Exhibition, and last night’s Year 6 PYP Exhibition it has been a wonderful end to Term 3.
As the term concludes I would like to share my gratitude with the community for all the wonderful ways in which we support each other to help our school continue to thrive. Parents, staff and students working together to make the most of opportunities is always appreciated.
I would like to specifically thank Mrs Amanda Whiteford for her work as Acting Primary Inclusive Education Coordinator for Term 3 whilst Ms Slattery stepped up into the Acting Head of Department role. Your contribution and leadership is greatly valued. In addition, Mr Blair Fitzsimons has done a wonderful job in the LEC Teacher role this term and will continue in Primary in various roles.
Mr Tsironis will be embarking on some parental leave as the arrival of baby Tsironis is imminent. We wish him, and wife Lauren, all the very best for this special time. Mr Tsironis was very touched by the lovely gift presented last night by the parents.
With our ‘good tired’ bodies and minds, let’s enjoy the holiday break and I look forward to seeing all the students looking sharp in summer uniform next term.
Take care.
Kind regards

This morning, we enjoyed the Year 2s Assembly. It was amazing hearing the incredible songs and seeing their great performances. Although this was all super fun our favourite part must be the House reveal and it really had everyone’s heart pounding. It was amazing seeing our friends and the younger kids winning their athletics awards. Well done to everyone who won a trophy or medal. The afternoon was great but also sad having to say goodbye to our friends and teachers for two whole weeks. A huge thanks to Miss Williamson and Ms Fowler for organising our Athletics Carnivals and House reveals.

This week was the Year 6 PYP Exhibition. Due to all the hard work of the Year 6s the Exhibition was as smooth as a river. With all the fun facts it felt like I was going to explode. All the different stalls and the different games that were on offer to play ensured it was a fun night for all.
The Exhibition Assembly was also such a success. The parents and students loved watching the video, which highlighted the process of the Exhibition and all the hard work the students had put in. The different raps that each Year 6 class worked hard to create were also informative and fun to listen to!
A big thank you to Mrs Zecca for her support and leadership of the PYP Exhibition, along with the Year 6 staff who worked tirelessly in the lead up to the event. A big thank you must also go out to the staff at John Wollaston who supported the Year 6 students as mentors.

Year 6 Students
Since the official opening of the JWACS Art Exhibition last Wednesday 11 September, students in Pre-Primary to Year 6 have enjoyed visiting the Exhibition. During their Art lessons, students participated in a fun art treasure hunt activity and shared their feelings and ideas about art. The Pre-Primary and Year 1 students did extremely well walking all the way from the ELC with plenty of energy to still enjoy the experience!
