Secondary Colours Assembly
The final week of Term 3 has allowed many of our students to be recognised for the hard work, determination and commitment they have demonstrated throughout the term.
Our Primary students proudly showcased their learning during the Inquiry Journeys evening, while the Year 6 students proudly presented their PYP Exhibition. Meanwhile, many Secondary students were recognised at the Secondary Colours Assembly.
The Year 10 students have had a terrific final week participating in their Encounter where they have hiked part of the Cape to Cape, abseiled and explored some caves enjoying the spectacular scenery of the south coast.
Thank you to the staff involved in the many opportunities afforded to our students this term and to our families for your ongoing support.
We extend our appreciation and best wishes to Mrs Kaur (Secondary Education Assistant) and Miss Collard (PIPE student) who have completed their Term 3 contracts.
Thank you also to Ms Slattery who stepped into the Acting Head of Inclusive Education this term and Mrs Whiteford as Acting Primary Inclusive Education Coordinator.
Sharon Hanson (Head of Library Services) will be taking Long Service Leave in Term 4, before embarking on a new professional challenge as the STEM Coordinator at another school. We thank Sharon for her service at our school and wish her well.
Loren Musson (Student Services Receptionist) will finish her time at John Wollaston at the end of the term. Loren has been part of our community as a student, volunteer, parent and staff member for over 23 years. We wish her well and thank her for the care and support she provided our community over many years.
While most students will be taking a break from school over the next couple of weeks, our Year 12 ATAR students will be busy with their Mock Exams. It’s a challenging time as they near the end of their school journey and prepare for their final exams. We wish them the best of luck!
The students and staff have achieved a great deal this term. I am immensely proud and appreciative of their efforts.
I wish you a wonderful school break; a time to rest and rejuvenate after a busy term.
With appreciation
