Year One - Spotlight on Learning
Year One Highlights: Wrapping Up Term 3
What a fantastic final week of Term 3 for our Year One community! Our students have been diligently exploring the alternative sounds for /n/, such as /gn/ in "gnome," /kn/ in "knee," and the /k/ sound in "school." They’ve also been expanding their sentences by incorporating the words "but" and "because," adding depth to their writing.
As we look forward to next term, students will continue with their current learning structure and routines. However, there will be a special focus on preparing for the transition to Year 2 in 2025. To help with this transition, students were given the opportunity to select six friends they’d like to have in their class next year. If you'd like to talk about your child's choices or have any questions about the transition, please reach out.
It’s been a wonderful term of growth and learning, and we’re excited for the journey ahead!
