Year Five - Spotlight on Learning
Dear Families,
This week an email was sent out regarding the information we have on our Year 5 camp at the moment. Please find this information at the bottom of our learning page for your reference.
It was wonderful to see students dressed in their favourite sports team colours today - from AFL colours, netball teams, basketball teams and soccer teams.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our families for your continued support of your children, participating in school special events, Masses and helping your children in their learning throughout this term. We hope you all have a wonderful holiday break, keeping safe and hopefully enjoying the warmer weather.
We’ll see you all in Term 4, Monday 7th October - remember that Term 4 is a SunSmart term, so don’t forget school hats.
Next term we are learning:
Mathematics: Students will revise number and place value concepts for consolidation.
English: Students will continue reading the class novel, Kensuke's Kingdom, while focusing on persuasive writing and sentence construction.
Religious Education: Students will begin looking at Catholic Social Teachings.
SEL: Students will continue their work on Respectful Relationships and look at help seeking in response to gender based violence.
Integrated Studies: Students are beginning to explore Fractured Fairytales and will start preparing for their own performance at the end of this term.
Auslan: We start the unit by learning the signs for colours and some every day objects such as a pen.

Students were proactive in learning about the Sacramental Church and the Sacrament of Service. By joining 'action' groups, they have started putting this knowledge into practice. Below is a poster from one group advertising the pop-up blood bank located in Cranbourne. Please drop by and donate. Every drop counts.
