Dear Parents and Carers,
The recent Year 11 Presentation Ball at Chevalier College was a truly unforgettable evening, brimming with community spirit and heartfelt celebration. The character, elegance and poise of the Year 11 students shone through as they stepped into this significant chapter of their Chev journey, and the night was made even more special by the enthusiastic participation of parents and carers, who embraced the occasion with warmth and support.
Special thanks are due to the team of dedicated parent volunteers who transformed McGrath Hall into a breathtaking Moonlight Garden.
We were honoured to welcome esteemed astronomer and past student Sarah Caddy as our guest of honour, and I am delighted to share her incredible speech with you here. I hope you enjoy being transported by her words as much as we fortunate listeners did on the night.

Principal
The Diocese of Wollongong is running an event "Growing Good Men Father and Son Weekend" in conjunction with menALIVE from Friday 25 October to Sunday 27 October. Growing Good Men is an experientially-based program which encourages and enables fathers and sons to strengthen their relationship and to explore important issues of growing into manhood.
One of the most important influences in the lives of men is the relationship they have with their father or significant father figure. Spots are limited to just 25 fathers and their sons aged between 12 and 17 years.

We wish to remind you that at Chevalier College we place a strong emphasis on the presentation of our students and the adherence to uniform standards, consistently expecting excellence. We ask you to please take time to read the policy below and familiarise yourself and your children with the College expectations.
Students who do not abide by the uniform regulations will be asked to fix the identified problem and may be asked not to return to school until the issue is resolved. Students not in compliance with the uniform regulations may be placed on a uniform detention.
All final decisions regarding uniform regulations are at the discretion of the Assistant Principals – Wellbeing.

Summer is fast approaching and students are required to return to school for Term 4 in their summer uniform.
Please visit the Chev Shop during the term time opening hours or during the holiday break. Please visit the Chev Shop website for shop opening hours, price lists or further information.
You can also call and place an order on 4861 0540 and we will assist your child in sizing where required.
Year 7 2025 students have the opportunity in January 2025 to come in and be fitted for their uniform. Families will receive an email advising parents to schedule a 30 minute appointment between Monday 13 January and Friday 17 January. Alternatively, families can come in between Monday 20 and Friday 24 January without an appointment.
If families are away during January, we would suggest coming to the clothing shop in early November on Thursday and Fridays during normal term time opening hours, no appointment necessary. Additionally if families would like to break up the costs by coming in and purchasing a back pack and some socks in advance they are more than welcome.
As previously communicated, a College backpack has been introduced, commencing in 2024 for students in Year 7. From 2025, the College backpack will be mandatory for all students with the exception of Year 12.

Any families who receive this text but no longer wish to receive the vaccine (including those who received it via their GP) are asked to please follow the QR code below and withdraw consent as soon as possible.
