Year 7
Assistant Principal's Report
I would like to start by congratulating our graduating class of 2024. I was their Year Level Leader when they were year 7’s, and it was great to attend the Valedictory dinner to help celebrate graduating from year 12, but also seeing how far they have come since they started with us. I would like to do the same when the current year 7’s graduate in 2029.
This term will continue to be one of learning and reflection for our year 7’s, with exams and Step Up into year 8 occurring before the end of the year.
It has been great to continue to see positive celebrations at assembly each Monday morning. There are so many students displaying the College values of Respect, Co-operation and Excellence, having 100% attendance and working to their full potential to become their best self.
A reminder about the importance of students wearing the full school uniform. With the weather expected to heat up, students are expected to still be wearing the full College uniform. For students who need assistance with the correct summer uniform, please ask your child to speak to their tutor teacher or a member of student services.
I look forward to continuing to work with your children this year to enhance their educational opportunities and help them become the best they can be.

Year Level Leader's Report - Year 7
This term has started with many activities happening around the college and in the classrooms. I have seen the majority of students buckle down and start looking forward to starting Year 8.
The Year 7's have selected their languages for Year 8, celebrated our School Community at the Wyndham Central Community Carnival, helped the Year 12's celebrate their final day as students at Wyndham Central College by providing them with a postcard with well wishes for future endeavours and celebrated the staff for World Teacher’s Day. Many students have been involved in focus groups supporting us to make our school better for our current students and future students as well, as part of the whole school review.
As we look ahead to the remainder of the term, Year 7's that started at the start of 2024 have been growing into supportive Year 8's. Our new Year 7s will be visiting the school on multiple occasions this term and we look forward to having the Year 8's (2025) welcome our new Year 7's.
We will be completing the term with revision, celebration and most importantly transitioning into Year 8.8!
