Principal's News

Dear Families,

What a term it has been! We have certainly had our share of ups and downs so thank you all for the incredible support you have shown for our staff and each other. It is not easy to get things right every time and sometimes we must learn from mistakes made and be prepared to listen to each others feedback knowing we are all on the same side hoping and working for what is best for each one of or children.  Monday night's school concert I believe came at a good time for all of us allowing our entire school community to come together under one roof to celebrate why we are all in this together, our childen. Whether it was big roles or small roles I think our children all relished in the opportunity to express themselves through the performing arts. Whilst it was a huge team effort I must again thank our amazing Ms Stanton whose own passion and enthusiasm for the performing arts enables such a great end product to be achieved.

Our concert video can now be purchased online and we will ensure that these arrive in a much more timely manner than last time.

I am positive that all of our children will now be looking forward to the school holidays as a chance to slow down a bit and spend time with their families. I am also aware that holiday time can be challenging for some parents who are working and so it important that children develop their own capacity to entertain themselves in different ways.

Next term we will welcome back Mrs Recce who has now almost fully recovered from her injury as well as Mr Su who will be returning after his leave. Ms Maryanne will be continuing her leave and so Ms Kearney will continue in the 3/4 class.

It is looking like a very busy Term 4 with the 3/4 and 5/6 Camps, Confirmation, as well as a number of class excursions and incursions. We are also excited about our Christmas Carols celebration which we will do a little differently this year with a whole school celebration and picnic on Monday 16th December from 3:30-5:00pm.  Lots more information to follow next term.

We look forward to other class masses next term and details will be shared closwer to the dates. A reminder also that Ms Marinelli will be leading children's liturgy each Sunday after the holidays at St James Church.

CONGRATULATIONS - Goldie, Amelia and Zara

This awesome little team, along with their teammates  won their basketball Grand Final last Friday night. The girls are part of the Richmond Riots - Doves and have worked very hard this year.  They won 22 to 16, having only lost 1 game during the season as well. I'm sure if any other parents are interested in finding out how to join you can speak with Heidi, Goldies mum.

AUSKICK - Opportunity for Term 4

NAB AFL Auskick is a fantastic introductory program where kids can have a blast while staying active. At Trinity PS, kids will enjoy 5 weekly sessions, led by highly experienced AFL Victoria coaches. Exploring AFL, developing football skills, and playing in a fun, safe, and inclusive environment. No previous Aussie Rules experience is required - children can start Auskick in the year they turn 5 and continue until they’re 12.

To ensure everyone has a great experience, we divide the kids by age and offer optional all-girls groups. Sessions are just one hour per week, and kids can wear whatever they’re comfortable in - no need for expensive gear. It’s all about helping kids get comfortable on the footy field while having fun and learning! Initially the service will only be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with the possibility of offering further days if the demand is there.  Lunch orders will be delivered to the school.

We will continue to offer the traditional lunch orders in a brown paper bag from Modena Cafe daily.
