Following the wonderful Year 10 Passion Project exhibition last week, our Year 6 students are preparing for their PYP Exhibition this evening and throughout tomorrow. This year’s unit of inquiry has had an environmental theme, as students have explored different issues related to sharing the planet. They have chosen a vast array of questions to research and have been considering how they can present their information to our Exhibition visitors. Thank you to the Year 6 teachers who have overseen the Exhibition process and to the many others who have acted as group mentors.

Our Prep to Year 2 classes have had their swimming program this week. There will be some tired little people by the end of the week as the change to routine adds up. Our Year 3 students are off to camp over the next two days. Camps are a wonderful way for students to connect together with each other and with staff in a different way to being in the regular school routine. For many students, Year 3 is their first experience of an overnight camp so it is both extra exciting but can also bring with it some extra nerves.

Early next term, we have our biannual Makers’ Market. For those who have not been involved previously, this is a small handicrafts twilight market with an array of different products produced by our students. There will also be food, music, games and activities. We hope this will be a special community event. The success of any school event relies on the contribution of many different people. Later in the newsletter, there is information on how you can be involved in contributing to preparations or help with a stall over the course of the evening. Many hands make light work!
