Sydenham Campus News

Hackathon

On Tuesday 10th September, students from the Sydenham and Kings Park campuses attended a celebratory event to recognise their efforts in participating in the Hackathon project throughout the last two years. This saw a few of our Sydenham students present their hard work in front of council members and other company representatives who were very impressed with the final outcome of the schools project. We are very proud of all the students from 10K4 for their great achievements throughout this project.

State School Spectacular

On the 14th of September 2024, Aydin Kendjer proudly represented Copperfield College as one of the principal dancers in the State School Spectacular. After successfully auditioning for the role last year, Aydin dedicated countless weekends to rehearsals leading up to the event. His hard work paid off in two outstanding performances, where his talent and dedication were evident as he stood out among the state’s brightest young performers. Aydin's exceptional performance will be aired on TV later this year, marking a significant milestone in his artistic journey.

Transition 6/9/2024 & 13/9/2024

The performing arts students at Sydenham recently took part in a series of transition activities aimed at building connections with primary students. As part of these initiatives, they delivered an impressive performance at the Sydenham-Hillside Primary School (SHPS) assembly, showcasing their talents and school spirit.

We had year 7 student, Alyssa Flenley sing the national anthem as well as band members Bill Power, Roman Barbaro, Savion Cabanos, Alayna Anwar and Suad Pajaziti perform a set of songs. Additionally, the students led engaging dance workshops, teaching primary students new moves and encouraging creativity. These activities not only helped foster strong relationships between the schools but also gave Sydenham students the chance to develop their leadership and mentoring skills
