Our Intermediate Kings Park girls displayed tremendous effort on the day representing Copperfield College for the first time ever at Western Metro Division Futsal Competition held at Derrimut Sports Centre. Our girls started the day with a defeat to Southern Cross Grammar before bouncing back to secure a vital 5-4 win vs local division rivals Taylors Lakes SC. Adelina Demirovski coming up clutch with a last minute winner, also completing her hat-trick in the process. In the final, Southern Cross Grammar proved too strong, prevailing 8-2 - despite that result, our Kings Park girls finished the day as runners-up and therefore crowned the second best Inter Girls Futsal team in the West. Great achievement.

Basketball program

Term 3 saw our basketball program students participate in the Champions Cup - Victoria’s select entry school basketball tournament. Our students were competitive against the elite private schools across Melbourne and this prepared us for our SSV tournament in the Keilor Division.

Our Year 9/10 boys program students had a strong day, going undefeated with 5 wins/0 losses and winning every game by double digits.

Our Year ⅞ boys program students also had a great day winning the tournament in a close game by 2 points against Gilson College.

Our girls program students had some positive wins on the day but were unfortunately knocked out in the finals. Year 9/10 MVP: Tiana Stinton. Year ⅞ MVP: Mikayla Minehan.

Both boys teams will advance to the Western Metro Region tournament held in Term 4.
