Visual Arts

What’s happening in the Visual Arts room???

Foundation students are inquiring into Pop Art, furthering their understanding of primary colours and what happens when these are mixed, selecting their own colours for their artworks.

Year One and Two students are looking into the art style of surrealist fantasy, using the artworks of Joan Miro as inspiration. They have been creating wonderful fantasy creatures using their understanding of shapes, colours and lines.

Year Three students are continuing with their recycled material sculptures adding features to enhance its overall appearance while the Year Four students are completing their abstract wire sculptures.

Year Five students have begun inquiring into the art form of Steampunk. Steampunk art is a style of art in a semi-fictional world where old machinery from the Victorian 19th century is still current.

Year Six students are full-steam ahead, creating artworks that will showcase what they are inquiring into for the upcoming Exhibition.
