Year 10 Feature

Term 3 has been a busy term for Year 10 with a lot of engaging activities inside and outside the College. Students have continued to engage in wonderful learning activities in the classroom and also experience a number of activities outside of the classroom which have added value to  their learning.  In Week 3, The Semester I Principal Awards Ceremony acknowledged the holistic efforts taken by a number students showing ‘Academic Excellence’ and managing and extending their learning and progressing as responsible learners. Students in Year 10 have engaged well with the Pathways Coaches of the College and are attending the Lunch & Learn  sessions offered this term. Upholding the values of the College, students have been diligent in the way they present themselves wearing the school uniform with pride and presenting themselves well in events both inside and outside the College. The U16 rugby league team showed great strength and determination in their semifinals match. Congratulations to Summer Knowles on being selected in the All-Australian Girls Team, following her performances for NSW at the 2024 School Sport Australia Hockey Championships.

In Week 4, celebrating “ The Feast of Assumption Mass” as a whole school at Padre Pio enriched the faith life of students. Week 5 was a great showcase of perseverance and responsibility where students from the Stage 5 PASS classes went on an outdoor adventure for two days with great camping experiences by the Colo river.  All Year 10 students gained  great insights in promoting safe behaviors as drivers attending the “Bstreetsmart” excursion at Homebush. Week 5 ended with The Literature Dress up day and students took great effort to dress up as individual characters or group performances collaborating with one another. The Pastoral care lessons are great opportunities to build a culture of inclusivity and foster a safe environment for students at the College.
