KLA Feature - English

Literature Dress Up Day bought English to the fore as the College celebrated reading and all things literary on Friday of Week 5.

At the mid point of the term, English classes are fully focused on assessment of their learning and we enjoy this opportunity for the girls to recognise and celebrate their progress and growth.  Junior classes are working on key texts to demonstrate their learning in the current units - Stewardship for Year 7, Classics Retold for Year 8, and An Area of Study on Intolerance/Tolerance for Year 9.  Year 12 students are reflecting on their Trial HSC Exam performances to focus their final weeks in English on revision and further improvement before their HSC Exams in early Term 4.  Finally, Year 11 are busy preparing for their English Exam at the end of Week 8, finalising their study of an Australian poet.  The girls are commended for their ongoing work in English as they continue to build their skills and understanding through the study of a wide range of texts.
