I hope you are beginning to enjoy the beautiful, warmer weather. Here at the ELC we are travelling along nicely with most of our children back and engaging in their learning and becoming more independent and school ready as we head into the last term of the year.
The first couple of weeks the children have been learning about Space and our Solar System. Parents have contributed big boxes for us to turn them into rocket ships where our imaginations will take off. Role play and stories will emerge and come to life. We have looked at ‘germs’ and engaged in the pepper and detergent experiment. We have also delved more into sustainability by showing the children how Banana Fertiliser can be easily made, which could be poured into our garden.
Preparations are well and truly in place for Grandparent’s Day as we celebrate and appreciate the roles they play in the children’s lives.
