PTFA Update

What a joyful and wonderfully full beginning to the term - and the year - it has been for our PTFA and school community.

A heartfelt thank you to all who joined us for our Information Night and Picnic/BBQ. It was a delight to see families gathered together, children enjoying time with friends, and parents reconnecting at the start of a new school year. These shared moments are an important part of building a strong and connected community, and we are grateful to everyone who came along.

Our Swimming Carnival was another highlight. The PTFA team contributed far more than preparing and serving lunches. They arrived early, stayed late, filled gaps where needed, supported our wonderful Sports Coordinators - Christie Stephen and Tom Leach - and ensured both students and staff were well cared for throughout the day.

Their service was practical, thoughtful and generous. It helped create a smooth, well-supported event where students could focus on participating and enjoying the day. We are deeply thankful for the commitment, generosity and care shown by our volunteers.

Thank You for Attending Our AGM

We were so encouraged by the families who attended our Annual General Meeting. Your engagement and interest reflect the genuine care that exists within our school community.

If you were unable to attend but have questions or would like to contribute ideas or become involved on our General Committee, we warmly invite you to contact us at ptfa@kings.vic.edu.au

Whether you can assist occasionally or on a more regular basis, there is always a place for willing hands and supportive hearts.

We are a small team, and we value every contribution that enables us to serve our school well.

Athletics Carnivals – Volunteers Needed

Our upcoming athletics carnivals are fast approaching:

  • Senior School Athletics Carnival – Tuesday 4th March
  • Junior School Athletics Carnival – Wednesday 5th March

These events are always filled with energy, colour and school spirit. To ensure they run smoothly, we are seeking:

  • Helpers on Monday 3rd March (during school hours)
  • Helpers at the venue on the day from 10am

Even a short period of assistance makes a meaningful difference. Thank you to those who have already volunteered - your support is sincerely appreciated.

We also encourage students who would like to assist before, during or after events to speak with Mrs Nield or Mrs Newton. Volunteering is a wonderful opportunity for students to grow in confidence, develop new skills and contribute meaningfully to our school community.

Athletics Carnival Lunch Orders

Athletics Carnival lunch orders are now available via QuickCliq and will close at 11.59pm on Tuesday 26th February. We kindly encourage families to place their orders before the cut-off so your child can enjoy their special carnival lunch alongside their friends on the day.

Friday Treats

And of course, our much-loved Zooper Doopers will continue to be available each Friday at lunchtime - a small but happy tradition that brings a little extra joy as we head into the weekend.

Thank you for your continued generosity and support. Every act of service, every order placed and every volunteer hour contributes to enriching the experience of our students.

We are truly grateful for this community - we simply could not do it without you.
