Everyone Belongs!

Harmony Day – Friday 28 March

Fairfield Primary School will be celebrating Harmony Day on Friday 28 March. Harmony Day is a part of Harmony Week (17 – 23 March), where Australia’s cultural diversity and multiculturalism is celebrated.

The message of Harmony Day is 'everyone belongs'. It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone – from the Traditional Owners of the land to our most recent arrivals.

How will we celebrate Harmony Day?

Students are encouraged to wear orange, the official colour of Harmony Day.

Year 6 students will host lunchtime activities for students across the school. There will be a range of inclusive, multi-age activities – including a disco, making friendship bracelets, designing flags, international food scavenger hunt, basketball and soccer activities, bunting making, mindful colouring, and playing interactive games with a parachute.

Additionally, a school fundraiser will take place with all donations going towards Foodbank Victoria. Foodbank Victoria is a not-for-profit, non-denominational organisation that provides food and grocery relief to front-line charities and school breakfast programs to help feed people in need. Foodbank helps feed 69,000 Victorians every single day.

We encourage students to bring along a gold coin donation on Friday 28 March to support this wonderful organisation.

See you in orange!
