What is the Solihull approach?

The Solihull Approach helps parents and carers develop a more sensitive way of thinking about their children, which then can change how their child behaves. Parents are encouraged to think about their response to a situation and how they are feeling in that moment.

The approach also encourage parents to identify the most important issues in their relationship with their child, and to reflect on why things sometimes go well and sometimes do not. This knowledge then makes it easier for the parent to identify how to work together with their child.
