2024/2025 Rowing
We have made it to the end of the 2024/25 Rowing Season, finishing with a great end of season dinner on Sunday the 30th March.
During the season we had 13 crews competing across 10 Regattas. At the main event of the Head of the Lake, 10 of our 13 crews rowed personal best times, which showed some great character to step up and do your best in the big race. Our most successful regatta was the Wendouree Regatta in early February where we won 3 gold medals in Senior Girls Div 1, Senior Girls Div 2 and Senior Boys Div 2.
Our boys finished their season off well at the State titles in Nagambie. Senior Boys Div 1, Silver in the A Grade Men’s. Senior Boys Div 2, Bronze in the B Grade Men’s and Year 10 Boys Div 1 in the C Grade Men’s events.
Our Year 9 Girls Div 1 stepped up into the Year 10 division at the famous Head of School Girls Regatta and got themselves a bronze medal.
In February this year we were fortunate enough to be the recipient of a Bendigo Community Bank Grant worth $5000! This has helped immensely in purchasing new Cox Boxes and GPS units for the crews. We thank the Bendigo Community Bank Buninyong for their support this year.
We finished the season with a great end of season dinner at the Ballarat Golf Club with our biggest crowd since pre COVID. Here are our award winners:
