**The meets and events listed below are targeted specifically for swimmers in our Junior Stream which includes Novice, Blue, Bronze, Silver and Gold squads. RSC coaches will be present at all these meets and events to support your swimmer. All entries for these meets must be done through your Swim Central account, which you created when you purchased your swimmer's annual membership. The following targeted meets and events are coming up soon for swimmers in the Junior streams (Novice, Blue, Bronze, Silver, Gold):

March 23rd Metro East District Championships @ Monash Aquatic & Recreation Center

Meet Information:

A few things to note:

* The pool is outdoors. It is meant to be 23 degrees on Sunday, but it will be quite cool in the earlier morning. Please be sure to bring appropriate clothing for your swimmer as well sunscreen. You may want to bring an extra dry towel and dry clothing if they are swimming over both sessions with the relays. Swimmers can lose body heat when they are wet and waiting for their races so they should have warm layers and footwear to put on to stay as warm as possible.

**There is no seating around the pool. We will have 2 marquees for shelter for our swimmers and families. Be sure to bring camps chairs and/or blankets to sit on. 

***Bring plenty of food and water for your swimmer!

****If you want to avoid standing in the long line at the front entry, just arrive a little early and you will be able to enter through the side entry right into the pool area!

Timekeeping Roster

RSC have been assigned to provide timekeepers for both the morning and afternoon session as well as a few helpers for set up and pack up. This is a big meet so Metro East rely on various clubs to help out. Please reply to this email by lunchtime tomorrow (12pm, Friday) to confirm that you are able to do your rostered shift. Thank you in advance for helping out – we couldn’t do it without you!

Meet Info

Session 1:

·        Pool warm up starts at 8am, meet starts at 9:00am, approx finish time is 12:25pm

·        Please aim to arrive at 7:30am for dryland warm up if you are competing in individual events in session 1 

·        Please aim to arrive by 10:30am for dryland warm up if you are only competing in the relays in session 1

·        Coaches: Brendan and Matt

·        Alyssa McNaught and Nicole O’Toole will be acting as Team Managers for the morning session and assisting the coaches. Please feel free to approach them if you have any questions or concerns as the coaches will be extremely busy

Session 2:

·        Warm up starts as soon as Session 1 finishes, meet starts at 1:15pm, approx. finish time 5:13pm

·        Please aim to arrive between 11:30am–12:00pm if you are only swimming in Session 2

·        Coaches: Brendan and Ava

·        Alison Papp will be acting as Team Manager for the afternoon session and assisting the coaches. Please feel free to approach her if you have any questions or concerns as the coaches will be extremely busy

Relays

Please see the updated relay list below. Please be sure to check it carefully as there have been some changes due to withdrawals. Some teams have been pulled/cancelled and some swimmers have been placed on new teams to fill gaps.
