1/2 M : 

'Reach for the Stars and Dream Big'

What an amazing start to the year we have had in 1/2M! 

Our Motto: ''Dream Big'' reminds us always to reach and strive for the next personal best. We call that 'levelling up'in our class. Students have certainly shown their commitment to our motto as they strive to do their best in their learning.  

During Literacy, we have learned to read and write reasons for the thoughts and ideas we present using the confunction 'because'. We try to convince others of our opinion or to offer our thoughts and beliefs about a topic by griving good reasons. This week we used the sentence starter ''Australia is the best because....' to explain what the students love about multicultural Australia. They wrote some amazing reasons why they love living in Australia.

It has been wonderful getting to know our 3/4 M buddies too. We are looking forward to sharing important events together in the coming year, especially our whole school masses. We will sit together and hope our parents can be a part of this special time too.   

This week we focus on the Holiest of week in the Christian calendar. We pray each day during 'Morning Gathering' using our beautiful stain glass window prayer reminders. We pray for many in our community. We remember that this is a time to think about others and to pray to God as to how we can to be better people, just like Jesus taught us to do.
