Sacramental Dates -2025 

In St Jude’s Parish and at Holy Trinity, students currently receive their Sacraments in the following order: - 

Sacrament of First Reconciliation –Year 3

Sacrament of First Eucharist (Holy Communion) –Year 4

Sacrament of Confirmation –Year 6

 

Preparation of the candidates takes place in Religious Education lessons with classroom teachers, with work also being done at home and at a Family Workshop before the Sacrament. Attendance at the workshop and Commitment Mass are compulsory, and families will not be allowed to book a place at a Sacrament unless they have attended both of these and completed any associated tasks

 

Sacrament of First Reconciliation

The Sacrament of First Reconciliation is available for students who have been baptised and in Year 3 or above and are yet to receive this Sacrament. Therefore, the Parish of St Jude’s and schools will be offering all our Year 3 students or above the opportunity to partake in the Sacrament of First Reconciliation.

 

Information reading enrolling your child in the Sacrament of First Reconciliation will be shared with families soon.

First Reconciliation Family Workshop (child and at least one parent are asked to attend):

  • Term 1 Wk 5     Wednesday 26 February ~from 6:30-7:30pm at St Jude’s Church

     

Sacrament of Reconciliation Commitment Mass:  (Please note change)

  • Term 1 Wk 6     Saturday 1 March ~ 6:00pm  HT & SJ at St Jude’s Church or

                                Sunday 2 March ~10:30am  HT & SJ at St Jude’s Church 

 

Sacrament of First Reconciliation:

  • Term 1 Wk 8     Wednesday 19 March ~ 6:30pm HT & SJ at St Jude’s Church

 

 

 

Sacrament of First Eucharist (Holy Communion)

The Sacrament of First Eucharist is available for students in Year 4 or above who have been Baptised and made their Reconciliation and are yet to receive this Sacrament. Therefore, the Parish of St Jude’s and schools will be offering all our Year 4 students or above the opportunity to partake in the Sacrament of First Eucharist.

  • Term 1 Wk 9     Tuesday 25 March~~from 6:30-7:30pm at St Jude’s Church

     

Sacrament of First Eucharist Commitment Mass:

  • Term 1 Wk 9     Saturday 29 March ~ 6:00pm  HT & SJ at St Jude’s Church or

                                Sunday 30 March ~10:30am  HT & SJ at St Jude’s Church 

 

Sacrament of First Eucharist:

  • Term 2 Wk 2    Saturday 3 May
    • 2:00pm  HT Sacrament of First Eucharist at St Jude’s Church or             

      • 4:00pm SJ Sacrament of First Eucharist

       

       

       

Sacrament of Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation is available for students in Year 6 who have been Baptised, made their Reconciliation and First Eucharist and are yet to receive this Sacrament. Therefore, the Parish of St Jude’s and schools will be offering all our Year 6 students the opportunity to partake in the Sacrament of Confirmation.

 

To celebrate its Jubilee, the Parish of St Jude’s has been invited to have our Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Patrick’s Cathedral (East Melbourne) in 2025.

Confirmation Family Workshop (child and at least one parent must attend):

  • Term 2 Wk 9      Wednesday 18 June ~from 6:30-7:30pm at St Jude’s Church

 

Sacrament of Confirmation Commitment Mass: 

  • Term 2 Wk 9        Saturday 21 June 6:00 pm Mass at St Jude’s Church   or

     

  • Sunday 22 June 10:30 am Mass at St Jude’s Church

 

Sacrament of Confirmation:

  • Term 3 Wk 2     Wednesday 30 July
  • Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Patrick’s Cathedral after 5pm (exact time TBC)

 

Information regarding enrolling your child/ren in a Sacrament will be shared via SIMON in 2025, in the weeks leading up to the beginning of the particular Sacramental Program.
