Application process:
As a specialised program within the department of Education, IGNITE has an application process beginning with the Higher Ability Test, which is conducted each year by the Australian Council of Educational Research (ACER).
The higher education test is used to gather evidence of innate potential in the areas of:
- Reading comprehension
- Mathematical reasoning
- Abstract thinking
- Written expression
The IGNITE selection team use the higher ability test result, along with other collected evidence to determine the suitability of candidates to the IGNITE program.
The test will be held at Aberfoyle Park High School on 22 February 2025.
The administration cost for the test is $150.00.
