Billanook always begins the year with our 'Settle In' Program, which aims to build a positive and inclusive classroom environment and establishes class expectations and rules. Over the course of 8 days, students get to know each other and their new teacher, whilst also exploring the following:

• Respectful Relationships- A state-wide program designed to promote positive attitudes, behaviours and equality within the school community
• Our School Values: Grit, Respect, Kindness and Aspiration
• Developing a Growth Mindset
• Zones of Regulation - Identifying andregulating our emotions
